The Lanskies made in 2008 the first part in France of the british bands : Foals, Pete & the Pirates and the Sunshine underground.
Their first album "Lords of the Mersey" produced by the young indie label "Indelible records" was avalaible digital since april 2008, greeted with some success on the international download platforms as Itunes or Amazon.
Several titles of this album are on famous music compilation on CD as "Give me some rock'n roll" (Naïve 2008) and "I love rock vol.2" (Wagram 2009)

The Lanskies are a french indie rock band based in Normandy (France) with a british singer from Liverpool. They play music together since the beginning of 2007.
Their musical influences are very wide between the first 80s post-punk sounds and new-wave as The Cure, The Smiths, XTC and after the 90s brit pop bands as Blur. The Lanskies also appreciate the tone of american bands as the Strokes or Interpol. But, sure, the Lanskies have a style like no other to make the dancefloor move with their hot-wave style.
The Lanskies participated with an enthusiastic audience in the most popular French Festival "Les Vieilles Charrues" in July 2008 and in the new Festival of Beauregard at Caen in July 2009. At this last festival, 10,000 people were present with a lot of french fans from Normandy really happy to see their come-back on stage.
The Lanskies are now regularly on stage in Paris, at the famous clubs indie rock "La Maroquinerie" and at "La Flèche d'or" also in the French cities of Caen, Rennes and Nantes.
